TITLE OF A BUDGET NEO-NOIR (2021)

Taking mise-en-scene inspirations from the works of David Lynch and Alfred Hitchcock, Rear Window especially, I try to recreate some of my own sample frames of a neo-noir with the use of windows and multi-perspectives in mind.

By placing my camera on both sides of a window pane, the sense of voyeurism, mystery, and uncanniness is evoked, at the same time enhanced by lowkey lighting as well as the absence of human within the frame. I also give all images a cold tint and less highlight as to maintain the visual theme of a crime, hard-boiled detective piece throughout the series.
